How to use Trails & Tracks?

Trails & tracks will help you as a guide in your city to reach a destination or to find a route of your preference to make your time on your bike as enjoyable as possible.

Below you will find directions on how to use this guide. All routes have links to maps from Streetdirectory.com with the position, for the point on the route that you clicked, marked with a red star to make it even easier to find your way. Routes are described in text format with a clear direction including the following:

  • What road or track you are on,
  • What road or track to turn into,
  • Classification of a point on the route as busy, dangerous or difficult,
  • The length of the route and distance to go.

The classification of a point on the route is marked with coloured bullets accordingly:

A street, track, turn or manoeuvre that is easy, with low stress and little danger.
A street, track, turn or manoeuvre that require more caution, with medium stress and moreobstacles.
A street, track, turn or manoeuvre that is not so easy and might be difficult for inexperienced cyclists. It has a higher level of stress and many things to watch out for, such as cars, bad surface or steep slopes.

The first step is to choose the city where you will be riding. You will find the different cities at the bottom of the left column. The cyclists are then grouped into four categories:

  • Recreational road cyclists
  • Daily commuters
  • Active road bikers
  • Mountain bikers

Choose the category that best describes your intended activity. Each category is further described under each link in the left menu.
